Issyk-Kul Lake

Lake Issyk-Kul is one of the 30 largest lakes in the world.

The northern coast of Issyk-Kul has been developing since the Soviet era, and the southern one started to develop only since independence, so the south part of the lake is still less crowded. This is a big plus for introverts who do not like a big crowds of people.

The most visited place on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul is considered to be Kaji-Sai and Tamga. On the south coast there are much fewer recreational centers and mini-hotels. The beaches of the southern coast are more rocky, but the purity and transparency of the water are higher than in the northern coast, and nature is more diverse.
