When people say Charyn, they often mean the canyon “Valley of Castles”, as the brightest and most majestic part of the national park. Charyn National Park was established in 2004.
In addition to the “Valley of Castles”, there are at least four other canyons - Uzun-Bulak, Small Canyon, Temirlik and Black Canyon. All of them are united by the fact that they are located along the Charyn River.
