Shoptibay Baidildin: Kazakh ornaments that are applied to a headpiece are not intended for trousers

The progenitors of writing were signs that have survived to the present day in the form of national ornaments.

What secrets do they keep? Why do Kazakhs give great significance to the ornament of “ram’s horn”? Shoptibay Baidildin, the man who devoted the life to the study and preservation of this art, answered these and other questions of the Culture Talks program.

Shoptibay Baidildin became not just a skilled ornament creator. He carefully studied this art and published three books about it. He has at least 3,500 sketches, each of which is unique.
