Semey is a city with a difficult but very interesting history. For over 300 years of its existence, it has turned from a small fortress into one of the notable cultural centers of Kazakhstan. The names of people who were born or lived here are often known all over the world - writers and artists, merchants and military leaders, musicians and sportsmen.
