International Day against Nuclear Tests
August, 29. It was 7 a.m. The first rays of the sun appeared and suddenly with great speed, the earth was torn by a burning red ball, as if separated from the sun. It struct the whole district with fire and rushed back to the sky. The surface of the earth was covered with ashes. Smothering smoke scattered everywhere. The fire killed all the living around, including animals and insects. It was the explosion of the first Soviet atomic bomb.
Karipbek Kuyukov is a victim of nuclear tests. When he was born these tests were already carried out for 20 years. The dangerous atom nearly killed him when he was an infant.
