– Today China is one of the leaders in the world television market. We are constantly introducing latest technologies, apply latest developments in media technologies. We think that information policy should keep up with economic development and China develops its TV industry in accordance with the requirements of our century, the age of technological innovations.

60 years ago the way to television has just began for Kazakhstan and China. At that time the pioneers of the Asian TV were guided by the experience of their colleagues from other countries. For example, Germany’s regular programs were first aired in 1928. Gunter Knabe has worked as a journalist at a German television and radio broadcasting company “Deutsche Welle” for more than 30 years. He recalls that the breakthrough in the country’s television was live streams of the Olympic Games.

GUNTER KNABE, GERMAN INDEPENDENT JOURNALIST:

– In 1936 Germany hosted Olympic Games and our country was competing with British BBC for broadcasting rights. As the Games were held at home we won this competition and the first live broadcasting of the Olympics was held in Berlin. It was a great success not only for the German television but for the world TV industry as well.

After 90 years German television represents 63 state and hundreds of private channels, thousands of correspondents from all over the world and constant improvement of technologies. In general, television has come a long way in this time period: from mechanical and silent to satellite and digital. Today in the age of globalization and innovative technologies, information can circle the globe in a second.
