The energy of creative people became Ukraine’s slogan which will represent the country’s achievements at Astana EXPO 2017. Both start-ups and flagships of the Ukrainian energy sector are the participants of the exposition since they’ve got something to share with the world. For example, representatives of one of the energy companies will tell how in 7 years of working in the alternative energy market the company managed to build seven wind farms in Ukraine and one in Kazakhstan. Moreover, this is single production of multi-megawatt facilities in Commonwealth of Independent States.

YURY SHEVCHENKO, SPOKESPERSON, ENERGY COMPANY:

- We recently shipped the first wind power plant in our line with a capacity of three and two megawatts. This is our achievement and the largest installed capacity that has ever been manufactured in the post-Soviet space.

US$12 billion is the necessary amount to reach 11% of the overall energy which is the required level of Ukrainian alternative energy. Some of these investments are expected to be accomplished at Astana EXPO 2017.

SERGEY SAVCHUK, CHAIRMAN, UKRAINIAN STATE AGENCY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY:

- There are 25 ready projects at least. The project related to alternative energy is the smallest which costs US$10 million. Therefore, we hope that if every project could find its investor, then it will be possible to attract additional US$5-10 million.

Ukraine intends to showcase an exciting cultural and entertainment program for the expo. Lots of surprises await visitors of the pavilion in Ukraine’s national day which is scheduled for June 15th. A famous director who organized Eurovision performances will be responsible for the preparation of the national day.

VLADIMIR JIDZHORA, TEMPORARY ATTORNEY OF UKRAINE IN KAZAKHSTAN:

 - The Ukrainian creative teams in Kazakhstan will be involved in celebration of the national day. A big bright parade with flags will follow the concert which is endured from the stand to the national pavilion and the presentation of the Ukrainian stand.

Meanwhile, Belgium is preparing for the expo in Astana. At the exhibition, the CMI Group company intends to present an innovative model of a power plant operating on a variety of solar collectors. Plans of the 2050 Strategy and representatives of Belgium coincide since to reach the maximum generation of renewable energy using environmentally friendly technologies.

JEAN-MICHEL GERARDS, PRESIDENT, CMI ENERGY:

- We are waiting enthusiastically for our company to participate in Astana EXPO 2017. It is an ideal platform for demonstrating technology and know-how in the field of new energy or the future energy. A small copy of the models of our solar power plants will be installed at the exhibition in Astana. Visitors and potential customers can learn the principles and benefits of how the solar plants work.
