Turkey and Russia have signed a bilateral agreement on construction of Turkish Stream gas pipeline. The agreement envisages the laying of two lines with the capacity of nearly 18 billion cubic meters of gas per year for every line. Turkish Stream will allow Russia to supply gas to Europe, bypassing Ukraine. Vladimir Putin stressed that relations between Russia and Turkey have gradually recovered and the energy agreement is one of the steps to improve cooperation.
