The number of South Sudanese refugees exceeded 1 million people. 185,000 people have fled the country only in the last three months, according to the UN data. The migrants mainly flee to Uganda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic. Thus, South Sudan can be now compared to Syria, Afghanistan and Somalia - over a million people were forced to flee these countries as well. The civil war in Southern Sudan began in 2013 and lasted for two years. After that the representatives of the Nuer and Dinka ethnic groups have entered in to a peace agreement. However, in July, they said that the truce was over and the fighting resumed in the country.
