More than 500 civilians were killed in air strikes, mortar attacks and terrorist attacks in Syria in July, says UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in his latest report. The document tells about 40 various incidents, which led to casualties among civilians. The report focuses on the humanitarian situation in Syria, and will be considered at the Security Council meeting on August 22. Meanwhile, the head of UNICEF urged to finish fights immediately. Around 100,000 children in the eastern city of Aleppo are at risk of becoming front-line victims of shelling.  Millions of young Syrians across the country do not know what a peaceful life is.

More than 3.5 million Syrian children under the age of five know nothing but displacement, violence, and uncertainty. Some 306,000 were born as refugees in neighbouring countries.
