According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, no Kazakh citizens were reported among the killed in the Munich shooting. According to the Ministry, the Kazakhstan Consulate, located in Munich, has the situation under control.

 

18-year-old German of Iranian origin opened fire on visitors of the Olympia shopping center in Munich. According to recent reports, the shooter killed 10 people and wounded 27. Three people are in critical condition. After that, the shooter killed himself. The police didn’t report yet whether it was a terrorist attack. His motives are still unknown.

Numerous police officers were involved in the raid. We want to confirm that it was the body of the shooter. We confirmed it after studying video materials and witnesses’ testimonies. The motive of the crime is unknown. The investigation is under way.

 

Flags are at half-mast throughout Germany because of the tragic events. German Chancellor Angela Merkel held an emergency meeting of the Security Council. The traffic at the central station in Munich is still suspended and public transport doesn’t operate. Only the airport is operating as usual. However, security measures have been significantly tightened.

I'm shocked. Nothing of the kind ever happened here. I never thought that this could happen in Munich.
