According to the EU Commissioner of European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, EU may cancel visas for Ukrainians in October this year. It was stated after a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.

Johannes HAHN, EU COMMISSIONER OF EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICY AND ENLARGEMENT NEGOTIATIONS:

I think after some further consultations, yesterday we had a Foreign Affairs Council, I'm rather confident and in October, this should be hopefully approved.

Moreover, President of the European Commission Jean – Claude Juncker praised the Ukrainian Government for the reforms and called to continue. On background of migration crisis, the EU postponed the abolition of visas of Ukrainian citizens, as well as for Kosovo, Georgia and Turkey. The European Commission commented that Kiev has fulfilled all conditions for visa liberalization with the EU. Moreover, EU Commission submitted a proposal to the European Parliament and of EU Council in April. It’s necessary to vote for more than half the countries in the bloc that represents about 65% of EU population to approval.
