Brazilian authorities are reviewing security measures ahead of Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro after attacks in Nice, as announced by Defense Minister Raul Jungmann. According to him, the government is already implementing new measures. Brazil is also working with France on security to prevent any possible terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games.

Raul JUNGMANN, BRAZIL'S DEFENSE MINISTER:

The tragedy in Nice had concerned us. We decided to significantly boost the current security measures. It is necessary to increase the number of checkpoints. We'll have to sacrifice comfort for the sake of safety. Our challenge is to thoroughly check nearly 500,000 people which could be linked to terrorists.

Several European countries, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the UK strengthened security measures in response to the recent terrorist attack in Nice.
