Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed the prospects of export of Kazakhstani gas to China with the head of CNPC Corporation. The Kazakh President met with the Chairman of Board of Directors of the transnational giant Wang Yilin in Akorda. The sides discussed the activities of the company in Kazakhstan including the progress of the repair work on the biggest field in the country - Kashagan. The Head of CNPC told Nursultan Nazarbayev about the plans of the corporation in the near future.

Nursultan NAZARBAYEV, PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN:

The company has invested $10 billion in our economy since 1997 and more than $20 billion in oil and gas exploration and pipeline construction. This is a great investment. Now all oil companies are experiencing difficulties due to lower oil prices. Therefore, it is time to discuss arising issues. I would like to learn about the reconstruction work at the Kashagan field and the possibilities of export of Kazakhstan gas to China.
