Sebastien Loeb was the only member of the Peugeot Sport team who managed to easily overcome all the obstacles. Nine-time world champion in classical rally is leading the stage.
SEBASTIEN LOEB, RALLYCROSS DRIVER:
- Kazakhstan is a very hospitable country. We had a good stage. Due to the rain, there were a few problems like the road was slippery and the car began to sideslip. However, we managed to successfully overcome this site. The competition goes according to the plan. There is still a finish and we hope that the technology won’t fail.
The rally started on July 7 in Moscow. Over 150 vehicles from 35 countries are participating this year. The total length of the route is 10,000 kilometers. Two teams represent Kazakhstan in the transcontinental rally: Aktau Motorsport led by Kirill Cherenkov and co-driver Aleksey Mun in the SUV category and Astana Motorsports led by captain Artur Ardavichus in trucks category.
