Thousands of Europeans learned more about Kazakhstan’s touristic sites

Thousands of Europeans learned more about Kazakhstan’s touristic sites. Kazakhstan’s pavilion at the international tourism industry fair TOP RESA 2018 in Paris sparked significant interest among visitors. At the presentation, Kazakhstan’s tourism potential attracted the attention of tourism experts from 230 countries. They had the opportunity to learn more about Kazakhstan’s rich history, culture and unique nature, try traditional Kazakh food, enjoy graceful Kazakh traditional dances, listen to the dombra playing and participate in tug-of-war competitions against the Kazakh strongmen.

MEIRAMGUL BALGOZHINA, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, KAZAKH TRAVEL COMPANY:

 - The French people expressed great interest in Kazakhstan. They asked about the flights to Kazakhstan and the visa requirements to travel to Kazakhstan. They were pleasantly surprised that there is a visa-free arrangement for the French people travelling to Kazakhstan for 30 days and the direct flights to Kazakhstan. We believe that Kazakhstan’s presentation at this fair will benefit the development of the inbound tourism in Kazakhstan.

DELFINA ATTIAS, FAIR VISITOR:

 - Kazakhstan’s stand is nicely decorated. It represents Kazakhstan’s assets, such as beautiful nature, as well as the culture and history of this promising country. Recently, I travelled along your country from Almaty to Aktau, including Charyn Canyon and Turkistan. I was riding horses in the national park and spent time in a desert in Mangystau where I visited the famous underground mosque Beket Ata. Your country is of the size of Europe and it takes time to travel across it. I hope to visit Northern Kazakhstan soon.

Kazakhstan’s participation is organized by the Kazakh Government with the support of the Kazakh embassy in France. This important event is held for the 40th time. This year, it was attended by more than 2,000 travel companies worldwide.

JEAN GALIEV, KAZAKH AMBASSADOR TO FRANCE:

 - The fair is held this year that marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and France. We participate here as part of the Kazakh Autumn in France project initiated by Kazakhstan that incorporates cultural, sports and tourism development events. We hope that this project will enhance the French and European people’s attention to Kazakhstan.

FREDERIC LORIN, SPOKESPERSON, IFTM TOP RESA:

 - This year marks the anniversary of our fair and I hope to discover Kazakhstan, this attractive travel destination, as soon as possible.
