The 5th stage of an expedition as part of the ‘Uly Dala Yeline Sayakhat’ project started in Almaty
The fifth stage of an expedition as part of the ‘Uly Dala Yeline Sayakhat’ project started in Almaty. The route covers the area from sea to sea along the vast steppe. 25 participants including travellers, television journalists, tour operators as well as foreign and Kazakh travel bloggers will visit the landmark natural sites and important historical holy sites in Kyzylorda, Aktobe and Mangystau regions. The expedition members are set to cover about 3,500 kilometres and will finish the trip on September 21st.

- The expedition itself will take 12 days and about 15-16 days with the return to Almaty. The expedition will include trips to the Kamystybas Lake and the Aral Sea. Then through the steppe we will head to Ustyurt and Mangystau, where we will see all natural and cultural destinations. Then we will reach the Caspian Sea.
The final stage of the large-scale project will be a journey titled ‘The New Silk Road.’ The expedition members will visit the territory of the Turkestan, Zhambyl, and Almaty regions. The team of National Geographic Russia will take part in the expedition through this route. ‘Kazakh Tourism’ national company is the main sponsor of the expedition. Kazakh TV will broadcast a series of TV programs dedicated to the expedition.
