A Kazakh language book dedicated to the 95th birth anniversary of the outstanding leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev was presented in Astana. The book is titled “Yeline Zhol Ashkan” and has eight chapters and 366 pages. It contains recollections of events of the Heads of State, well-known politicians, economists and businessmen. The introduction was written by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Documents and pictures that were never before published were also included in the book. 

BOTAGOZ KAYIPOVA, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, LIBRARY OF KAZAKHSTAN’S FIRST PRESIDENT:

- The book presents unique materials on Heydar Aliyev’s detailed biography, together with the statements of politicians and public figures, such as Queen of the United Kingdom Elizabeth II and Hans-Dietrich Genscher. In his foreword in the Kazakh edition, Nursultan Nazarbayev said that Heydar Aliyev played a significant role in the strengthening of friendly relations not only between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, but also in the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States. 

The publication is a joint project of the International Turkic Academy and the Library of Kazakhstan’s First President. The book was translated from Russian by the Kazakh-Azerbaijani linguists, scientists and researchers. 500 copies will be donated to the libraries of Kazakh schools and universities.
