Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates are strengthening bilateral cooperation in a number of areas. The countries are set to step up their efforts in the expansion of economic collaboration and boosting mutual trade. To help develop their ties, Kazakhstan will hold its official trade and economic mission to Dubai from 14th to 15th of August, as reported by Kazakhstan’s Foreign Trade Chamber. The Emirati officials are interested in enhancing bilateral cooperation in a number of fields, including infrastructure, agriculture, energy, education and culture. Last year, trade between the two countries exceeded $643 million. The mutual trade almost doubled compared to 2016. Meanwhile, export made up more than $558 million while import totaled $84 million. Kazakhstan has a vast potential to export organic agricultural products to the UAE, such as meat products, grain and legumes as well as wheat, flour, vegetable oil and honey. During the trade mission, Kazakh agricultural producers will have the opportunity to present their products at the largest market in the Middle East.
