The importance of developing and adopting the Law ‘on the Status of Teachers’ in Kazakhstan

President Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted the importance of developing and adopting the Law ‘on the Status of Teachers’ in his state-of-the-nation-address. This measure will improve the status of teachers and the quality of education. According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the document will allow resolving challenges in teaching practice. Experts believe that the modernization of the educational system will require additional efforts of the teachers, such as learning advanced technologies, improving knowledge and gaining experience. These developments were discussed at Kazakhstan’s first STEM teachers’ festival. At the event, 25 teachers from all over Kazakhstan presented innovative teaching methods. The best teachers will represent Kazakhstan at a European competition in Portugal next year.

We are expecting significant changes in the educational sector. We received concise instructions on the direction of our development. Therefore, I believe that we need to put our best efforts to implement these goals.
