In his book, the Kazakh president analyzes Kazakhstan’s recent history, formation and development of the young republic an independent state. "Historically, our people have been entrusted with the grand mission of building a new country," he writes and suggests that Kazakhstan has chosen the right development path to prosperity. Kazakh educators note the book can be used as a textbook in universities, since it reflects on the most significant events and developments that took place in the country in the past quarter century.

GALIMKAIR MUTANOV, RECTOR, AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY:

 - Kazakhstan’s development model has been constructed here. There is a hypothetic understanding when something new is created. Then a certain predictive model is created. But how will this model be implemented? I would like to note the positive role of the head of state in this matter.

The book presents a comprehensive understanding of economic, constitutional, social reforms carried out in Kazakhstan, which strengthened the country. At the meeting, scientists highlighted that Kazakhstan’s policy aimed at building up strong economy was the right path. The meeting participants have also noted that the president paid special attention to the formation of a highly intelligent generation in the first years of sovereignty.

UALIKHAN KALIZHANOV, DIRECTOR, AUEZOV INSTITUTE OF LITERATURE AND ART:

 - The President seeks to improve the well-being of the people. Therefore, special attention is paid to human capital, for example, the "Bolashak" program. The young generation is financially literate, familiar with innovative technologies, and speaks foreign languages. The educated generation is the way to better future of Kazakhstan.

The book "The Era of Independence" is interesting not only for politicians, economists, and scientists, but for a wider range of readers. This is a valuable historical document.
