Latvia and Ukraine congratulate Kazakhstan on Independence Day
Kazakhstan is receiving congratulations on the Independence Day. Member of the parliamentary group of Latvia for cooperation with Kazakhstan, Vitaly Orlov, noted that the last year passed under the auspices of EXPO in the bilateral relations between Astana and Riga, trade and economic ties between the countries strengthened and rose to a qualitatively new level in 2017.
VITALY ORLOV, MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT OF LATVIA:
- I want to congratulate my colleagues and all citizens of Kazakhstan on the upcoming anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan and wish them all the best, the achievements they have made in this rather long period, which has lasted for 26 years. I want to thank them for hosting the EXPO this year, which gave a boost, I hope, not only to Kazakhstan as a country, but also gave impetus to our inter-parliamentary, interstate relations and cooperation. As far as I know, we will soon celebrate 25th anniversary of establishing relations between Latvia and Kazakhstan and I hope that the agreements concluded at EXPO in Astana will boost the development of our relations and will benefit each country.
Over 26 years of independence, Kazakhstan has become a successful and steadily developing state. This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian and Lithuanian politicians, and representatives of business communities. According to them, the authority of Kazakhstan on the international arena is growing every day.
MARIUS YANUKONIS, AMBASSADOR OF LITHUANIA TO UKRAINE:
- I want to sincerely congratulate the people of Kazakhstan on the 26th anniversary of Independence, and wish you well-being, all the best, prosperity, and, of course, continue being such an important country that occupies an important place between Europe and Asia, so to speak, which is developing very dynamically, which stands on all the main routes between Europe and Asia, and a country that has a very great potential.
