National Academic Library opened a historical documentary and book exhibition
Under the ‘From Kazakhstan 2030 to Kazakhstan 2050’ title, the National Academic Library opened a historical documentary and book exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of adoption of the state development program until 2030. The strategy was voiced for the first time by Nursultan Nazarbayev in his Address to People of Kazakhstan in October 1997. This document was a starting point in a significant movement towards building a prosperous state. Unique archives that reflect main stages of the adoption and implementation of the program were presented at the exposition. Book editions about the main events of independent Kazakhstan were showcased in the exhibition, too.
KAIRAT ALIMGAZINOV, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, ARCHIVE OF PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN:
- 7 main priorities which were voiced in Strategy 2030 back in 1997 were fully implemented. We, all Kazakhs, can see this. Kazakhstan has become a sovereign state. Kazakhstan has a series of regional, state and global programs. This is the president's personal initiative to unite the countries as part of the Central Asian cooperation. These documents are the primary drivers of this idea.
