Kazakhstan has launched media week in Astana. The event gathered more than 2,000 representatives of domestic and international media organizations. The primary goal of Astana Media Week is to establish regional cooperation a variety of media companies. During three days, delegates will have an opportunity to attend a series of master classes and presentations by well-known journalists, bloggers and editors. In addition, the participants will discuss on a wide range of topics from digital marketing to media convergence. The organizers hope that network developed at the forum will result in joint developments and new interesting content.

ZAREMA KOLKOMBAYEV, SPOKESWOMAN, KYRGYZ TELEVISION AND RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION:

- Here we want to introduce production studios of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan with each so in order to create a neutral platform for exchanging ideas and creating new joint projects which could strengthen the bilateral cooperation of our neighboring states.

As part of the Astana Media Week, a discussion session on Content Market was held where more than 90 domestic production companies showcased their products. Astana Media Week has proved to be a good opportunity for the media to present their projects and find potential customers and partners.

 - It was a big surprise that Kazakhstan has so many production companies. I hope this event will give an additional impetus to the development of the entire industry.

According to the organizers from the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Communications and KazMedia Centre, the Astana Media Week will become an annual event.
