Astana hosted the 6th International Congress of Turkic World Mathematical society
250 leading scientists and mathematicians from 20 different countries flew to Astana. Kazakhstan’s capital city hosted the 6th International Congress of Turkic World Mathematical society. For 4 days experts had discussed the achievements in this field and the prospects for application. According to the member of Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences Stanislav Kharin, in the modern world applied mathematics is more relevant than ever which is used in mining, agriculture, information and communication technologies. Domestic scientists face challenges to actively introduce their knowledge in other industries.
STANISLAV HARIN, ACADEMICIAN, KAZAKHSTAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES:
- In order to create a model identical to the ongoing process, it isn’t enough to be a mathematician. This is a time when scientists need to craft knowledge from related sciences and combine different sciences into one single unit by creating a mathematical model.
ALTAI BORUBAYEV, PRESIDENT, TURKIC WORLD MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY IN KYRGYZSTAN:
- In our time, mathematics has become an effective tool for many issues not only in areas of science, but also in tackling economic and societal issues of any state.
International cooperation plays an important role in the development of mathematical science. Scientists of the Turkic-speaking countries claims that close cooperation will not only allow exchanging the accumulated experience, but will also give a significant impetus to achieve various goals by facing modern society. These meetings are held once in 3 years. Kyrgyzstan hosted the previous Congress.
