Kazakhstan is one of the 62 countries participating in the specialized exhibition "World Food Moscow". Kazakh Invest national company represents Kazakhstan’s pavilion. Russian consumers are well aware about Kazakhstan’s products. In comparison with last year, the foreign trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia increased by 34% in 2017. Moreover, export of Kazakhtan’s products increased.

- Export from Kazakhstan to Russia increased by 37% and amounted to more than US$2 billion. This indicates high interest of Russian consumers in Kazakhstan's products. The format of promotion under the "Made in Kazakhstan" brand allows to present the country’s export potential and to raise the recognition of Kazakh products overseas.

 

The international exhibition is an excellent opportunity to network with potential partners as well as to increase brand awareness, including prospective start-ups and companies that have long established not only in domestic market but also in global market.

- For comparison: Kazakhstan’s market is about 90-100 thousand tonnes, Russian market is 1 million 200 thousand tonnes. Therefore, this is  a very interesting market, and we have already occupied 13% of this market within three years. Regarding this site, the exhibition is interesting to us. First of all, it is an opportunity to join even more distant markets like China and Eastern Europe.

 - There are no analogues of such honey. Our honey is in high demand abroad. We are a young company. We receive great support from Kazakh Invest. We participate in different fairs around the world. We are negotiating with China, Japan and South Korea.

 

Local retail networks are selling Kazakhstan’s products. The quality is good and price is affordable, one of the best, the Russians say.

 - Kazakhstan’s products are famous for good quality. This is a premium segment; we deliver Italian pasta, top quality cereals. We try it ourselves, and the buyers are happy. This is not a cheap segment, it's a premium class.

 

During the fair, Kazakh companies are planning to sign a number of contracts with regional Russian retailers.
