An unusual campaign was held at the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan to mark Astana Day. Visitors saw the rich fund of Nazarbayev Center and the exhibition named ‘President and Astana’. The exhibition reflects the main stages of construction and development of Kazakhstan’s main city. The exhibition also featured some gifts presented to the head of state. Visitors watched films about the Kazakh President as part of the open day. Children’s festival was organized for the library’s youngest visitors. Open day organizers have also launched a quiz about Astana on social networks.

 

BOTAGOZ KAIPOVA, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, MUSEUM OF FIRST PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN:

 - We launched quizzes on social networks and all these events together with thematic sightseeing tours will become one of the significant events as part of the campaign. We invited representatives of different social categories and ages, each of them, on the one hand, young people and children, can share emotions connected with the majestic building, the uniqueness of this project created on the initiative of the National Academy of Sciences.

 - I moved here five years ago. Astana is the place of my becoming, not as an athlete, but as a functionary. I would like our capital to amaze foreign visitors so that guests come and admire it.
