Kazakh scientists preparing for the World Congress ‘Future Energy’
Kazakh scientists are preparing for the World Congress WSEC 2017 ‘Future Energy’. The large-scale event will be held as part of Expo 2017 in June. The event will bring together over 200 representatives from different countries, including laureates of the Nobel Prize, the Global Energy International Prize, energy ministers of a number of countries and large companies’ chiefs. The agenda will include four thematic blocs: prospects and scenarios for global energy development until 2050, energy security, trends in the development of world energy resources, and staffing. Scientists have discussed one of these topics at a round table in the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan.
GULBAZAR MEDIYEVA, CHIEF COORDINATOR, WORLD CONGRESS WSEC 2017:
- This bloc is about how to combine both traditional and renewable energy and introduce them in production. Therefore, we have organized the discussion of all sectional sessions in order to elicit some new topics and issues that can be discussed, so that everyone was interested.
Not only scientists but also young people in Aktobe are inspired by the upcoming Expo. They express their ideas about future energy through their creativity. The region hosted a competition for the best work with Expo logo. Students, designers and artists used various art techniques such as applique, beadwork, painting and even body painting.
DANIYA ZHUMAGAZINA, HEAD OF DEPARTMENT, REGIONAL YOUTH RESOURCE CENTER:
- Our young people convey their vision of Expo through paintings, handicrafts and beadwork. This is how they reflect the importance of this event for Kazakhstan.
ZHALAMAN KUANGALIYEV, STUDENT, REGIONAL ART LYCEUM:
- We depicted three main elements: air, earth and the sun because Expo will present future energy which is based on these elements.
