The latest address of President Nursultan Nazarbayev shows that Kazakhstan is planning for the future. According to Head of European Parliament Delegation on cooperation with Kazakhstan and Central Asia Iveta Grigule, Kazakhstan has all chances to become one of the world’s most advanced countries.

IVETA GRIGULE, HEAD OF EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT DELEGATION ON COOPERATION WITH KAZAKHSTAN AND CENTRAL ASIA:

- Kazakhstan has chosen the right path. Kazakhstan looks to the future and analyzes the past experience; the country is aimed at achieving better results by 2050. Your country wants to be among top 30 and it is a good intention. Your president is a good prototype of the leader who prepares for the future. Of course, liberalization of the political system, liberalization of the economy, and personnel is the most important thing for the country to develop.

The third modernization requires improvement of human capital, experts say. According to Kazakhstan’s Federation of Trade Unions, introduction of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms will play an important role in this process. Therefore, the special Mediation Council was created at the Federation. It will facilitate maintaining stability in society and developing human capital through social partnership and labor market modernization.

ABELGAZY KUSSAINOV, CHAIRMAN, FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS OF KAZAKHSTAN:

- Today we are creating the Mediation Council. The prominent political scientists, economists and lawyers will continue this work, which started after the adoption of the law on mediation. The main purpose of this Council is settlement of labor disputes before or out of court. This is a key part of the trade unions’ work.

Organizers say that the independent negotiation platform will solve many social and labor issues and ensure free personal development.
