MICHAEL BRODSKY, AMBASSADOR OF ISRAEL TO KAZAKHSTAN
- We have been purchasing large amounts of oil from Kazakhstan for many years, and Kazakhstan shows great interest in Israeli technologies, first of all, in the field of agriculture, medicine, and security. I am sure that we have a very great potential in all these spheres, which we did not fully use. We are working actively for the benefit of our countries, so that this potential could be used and further increased the volume of trade between Israel and Kazakhstan.
Israel and Kazakhstan have also established cultural ties. Astana hosted the concert of the famous Israeli pianist Leonid Ptashka. The musician enters top 100 jazz musicians of the world according to the version of the American Biographical Institute. A virtuoso pianist admits that he is always happy to perform in Kazakhstan. This time he performed the composition “Jerusalem of Gold”, specially written for the concert “The Blues of Friendship between Israel and Kazakhstan”.
Along with the brilliant piano performances, Leonid Ptashka impressed the Kazakh audience by playing an ancient Jewish musical instrument - shofar. However, the concert of the famous jazz musician is not the only gift for the Kazakh audience from Israel. Some other bright events are planned to be held as well.
