Kazakhstan’s Constitutional Reform is being actively discussed not only in the country but also abroad. According to foreign experts, this step will allow for a better distribution of powers between all the government branches– the President, the Parliament and the government. According to the Head of the department of the Chinese Institute of East European, Russian, and Central Asian Studies, the implementation of the planned tasks will create conditions for sustainability and stability of the political system.

ZHAO HUEYZHUN, EXPERT, INSTITUTE OF EAST EUROPEAN, RUSSIAN, AND CENTRAL ASIAN STUDIES:

I believe that this decision will let to effectively distribute the powers between the President, the Parliament and the government. It will also foster political stability and sustainability, and correspondingly positively affect the society and economic development. I think this may become a good example for the neighboring countries. When the world is experiencing a hard time, Kazakhstan steps forward boldly and wisely.

Kazakhstan’s constitutional reform is discussed in Europe. According to German expert on Central Asia Günter Knabe, redistribution of powers is a visionary look into the future.

GUNTER KNABE, EXPERT ON CENTRAL ASIA:

The Kazakh President’s announcement about the redistribution of powers between the Government and the Parliament shows that Nursultan Nazarbayev leads Kazakhstan to the future growth. The President makes sure that Kazakhstan advances when the countries including Germany experience economic crisis. I would like to note that Kazakhstan opts for its own development path, and it’s a right decision I believe. Moreover, Ministers and Deputies will have more responsibility and they will have to justify the trust of President Nazarbayev.
