Celebrations in New York mark 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence
Kazakhstan's anthem opened the celebratory reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence in the center of New York’s Manhattan. The anthem was performed by a famous singer, lead singer of the Astana Opera Theater Sundet Baygozhin. 25 years ago, many people had no idea that a new country would be formed. Today they consider Kazakhstan as an example of success and sustained development. The United Nations welcomes President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s initiatives, considers Kazakhstan to be a recognized leader in the global anti-nuclear movement and peace building. Kazakhstan’s model of interethnic and inter-religious peace and harmony replenish the country’s other achievements seen by the world. The international experts included all these factors in Kazakhstan’s seven global triumphs.
