The main events in Kazakhstan’s life are reflected on the new postage stamps. Kazakhstan has issued into circulation a new series of stamps. For example, the stamp dedicated to the 25th independence anniversary “Mangilik Yel” features the clear sky with the Kazakh Yeli Monument and Golden Man. Its circulation totals 7.5 million copies.

Saule EGEMBERDIEVA, MANAGING DIRECTOR, KAZAKHSTAN POSTAL SERVICE JSC:

In the years of independence, Kazakhstan’s postal service, as well as many companies and industries contributed to the rapid development of our country and led to great results that we have today. Today we are marking the issuance of a new stamp “Mangilik Yel”. We are Kazakhstan’s main postal service, and are contributing to our dynamically developing country.

Another special stamp with the Universiade mascot - a young falcon Sunkar was also issued. This stamp will emphasize Kazakhstan’s status, the representatives of Kazakhstan Postal Service say. The stamp was made on the Banknote Factory of the National Bank with the use of modern security technologies. Also, the Postal Service will transport large cargoes during transportation of the torch relay.

Kairat BIEKENOV, FIRST DEPUTY DIRECTOR, UNIVERSIADE 2017:

This includes about 200,000 letters-envelopes, and nearly 1,000 parcels that will be delivered across the world with the Universiade emblem – this is a branded stamp. This cargo will be transported with our branded stamps.

In 25 years, Kazakhstan has issued over thousands of postage stamps dedicated to public holidays, anniversaries and outstanding personalities.
