The bright program has attracted the attention of not only the Kazakh Diaspora representatives, but also the local intellectuals. According to them, in 25 years, Kazakhstan has managed to become full-fledged member of the global community.
OSMAN KUMANDAN, MEMBER OF KAZAKH DIASPORA IN TURKEY:
I've never seen the holiday to gather so many people. There are many visitors. They came to congratulate Kazakhstan on the 25th anniversary of independence. This day is celebrated not only in Istanbul, but everywhere, where our compatriots live. I wish prosperity to Kazakhstan.
TALGAT MAMASHEV, FIRST DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, ASSOCIATION OF KAZAKHS:
The creative team arrived in Istanbul to organize a holiday for the Kazakh compatriots living here to mark the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. We also plan to send a congratulatory telegram to President Nursultan Nazarbayev. We will hold such events not only in Turkey but also in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.
Other activities were held in Turkey to mark the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence. Istanbul and Ankara hosted the exhibitions featuring paintings on the history and culture of Kazakhstan. The author of these works is the Kazakh artist Gulmaral Tatibaeva. Turkish culture figures and art connoisseurs visited the exhibition to see her works.
SALIH DOGAN, SPOKESMAN, ETHNO-CULTURAL CENTER ‘TOPKAPY’:
We want to tell about Kazakhstan's sights, the cultural wealth of the people, daring ideas and modern innovations. I think the exhibition will be interesting for both local residents and foreign tourists, and of course, for the Turkish artists.
