The United Kingdom will present its latest technologies in the field of renewable energy and ‘green’ technologies in the EXPO-2017 in Astana. A presentation of the UK pavilion was held in London. 20 leading British companies presented their concepts. Leading universities have also expressed interest in the international exhibition. The UK Pavilion Commissioner General Charles Hendry talked about the latest waste management technologies that will be presented at Astana EXPO-2017.

 

Charles HENDRY, COMMISSIONER FOR UK PAVILION, EXPO-2017 ASTANA:

We will be showcasing emerging technologies, we will be showing how technologies are helping to deal with energy challenges today and in the future.

 

Kazakh hosts have assured the partners that all conditions will be created for the British companies to present their latest developments to the full extent.

 

Erlan IDRISSOV, KAZAKH FOREIGN MINISTER:

We are very proud that we have won the EXPO in a very tough competition with the developed nations of Europe. You absolutely showed video creativity and the vision.

 

The UK has extensive experience in developing alternative energy sources. In addition, the British pavilion was among the leading exhibitions at the world’s fairs in Milan and Shanghai.
