Astana will host an International Forum ‘Tourism without borders’ in February 2017. The event will help to fully unlock Kazakhstan’s tourism potential ahead of the world’s fair, experts believe. The presentation of the conference was held in Astana. The upcoming forum is expected to attract over 1,000 representatives of large domestic and foreign companies that are interested in Kazakhstan’s investment climate.

 

Saltanat RAKHIMBEKOVA, CHAIRWOMAN OF PRESIDIUM, IO EXPO&WOMEN:

We understand that domestic tourism development requires resolving of investment issues; and our task is to unlock the domestic tourism potential by expanding the capacity of tourist sites that can be visited by tourists from everywhere.

 

The parties have signed a memorandum in tourism between EXPO&WOMEN and one of the universities of Astana as part of the round table. It will let to create a platform for training of professional volunteers and future tour guides for Expo-2017.

 

Saltanat RAKHIMBEKOVA, CHAIRWOMAN OF PRESIDIUM, IO EXPO&WOMEN:

We are in charge of the preparation, development of the training and seminar programs. The university will provide lecture rooms mainly for students wishing to acquire additional knowledge and to be in demand now and in 2017.
