Astana hosted an International Forum of Political Scientists and Sociologists called ‘25 Years of Independence: results and prospects.’ Despite the fact that many of the forum participants were foreign guests, their activities are closely related to the research and practical analysis of Kazakhstan’s development. Scientists and experts from Germany, Italy, Russia and China have been following Kazakhstan’s activity over past two decades.

Baghlan MAILYBAEV, DEPUTY HEAD OF PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATION:

Being led by the Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan went through a challenging period for a quarter-century, completing all tasks and reaching success. Kazakhstan has found the true key to community cohesion through peace, stability and harmony.

Kazakhstan has turned to a donor country from a recipient one. China's Ambassador Yao Peyshen noted that during the years of independence Kazakhstan has helped many UN nations allocating over $100 million. For example, $50 million were allocated to the education of Afghanistan students.

Yao PEISHENG, AMBASSADOR OF CHINA TO KAZAKHSTAN:

Kazakhstan is our great neighbor. Local citizens led by the President Nazarbayev have managed to achieve this success.  I would say he is the helmsman of the country. Such success would not be possible without his leadership.

Political analysts believe the phenomenon of Kazakhstan's success lies in the proper distribution of natural resources in the country. President’s policy ensured security in the country and created inner stability and social cohesion, experts say.
