Switzerland intends to strengthen trade and economic relations with Kazakhstan.

 

Ways of strengthening Kazakh-Swiss cooperation were highlighted at a meeting on Monday between the Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Minister in Charge Of Security and Economic Affairs of the Canton of Geneva, State Advisor of the Swiss Confederation Pierre Maudet. Currently, Switzerland is Kazakhstan’s fifth largest trade partner. Last year, the amount of bilateral trade reached roughly $3 billion. Over the past 10 years, Swiss investors have invested $14.5 billion in the Kazakh economy. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his hope that the visit of the delegation of the Swiss business owners will give new impetus to the mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan.
