The President of Kazakhstan met with Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs. Nursultan Nazarbayev and Erlan Abdyldaev discussed key and promising areas of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation. The parties exchanged views on pressing issues of regional and international importance. Nursultan Nazarbayev mentioned that the two countries historically share close and friendly ties. The President of Kazakhstan plans to pay a working visit to Bishkek. A comprehensive cooperation development program for the next few years will be considered during the visit.

 

NURSULTAN NAZARBAYEV, PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN:

Kyrgyzstan is our closest neighbor and partner. We should not have any unresolved issues, our relationships should be exemplary. We need to stick together taking into account the difficult economic and political situation in the world.

 

ERLAN ABDYLDAEV, MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF KYRGYZSTAN:

I believe our countries have all the necessary prerequisites to be able to understand each other and establish mutually beneficial cooperation. We look forward to this. We held constructive talks with my colleague, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
