Oil production has been re-launched on Kashagan oil and gas field and has already reached the level of 90,000 barrels per day. According to Energy Minister, Kanat Bozumbayev, the oil being extracted from four wells. Kashagan was launched on September 11, 2013; however production was suspended in two weeks due to gas leakage.

Clean commercial oil is processed at ‘Bolashak’ plant. It is then delivered to Kaztransoil reserves. Now it will be accumulated there stage by stage and later the operators and shareholders will announce the first export contracts.
