Kazakhstan’s foreign investment inflow has grown fivefold. At present, the volume of financial investments has reached 5 billion 700 million dollars, according to the Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov. At the government hour in Mazhilis, the Kazakh Exterior Minister said that more than 170 documents worth 13 trillion tenge were signed during the working visits of President Nursultan Nazarbayev abroad. During the years of independence, Kazakhstan has established cooperation with 180 countries. Minister Idrissov also mentioned the improved rating of Kazakhstan in the international rankings. For example, according to the World Bank Doing Business, Kazakhstan climbed to 41st position this year in terms of doing business bypassing Russia and China. Kazakhstan is actively cooperating with the World Bank, IMF, EBRD, Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank. As Erlan Idrissov noted, multilateral economic cooperation plays amajor role in Kazakhstan’s economic diplomacy in particular as part of the EAEU.

More than 30 countries have expressed their desire to expand cooperation with EAEU. More than 25 memoranda of cooperation and collaboration have been signed between the EAEU and various countries, including Mongolia, Chile, Peru, Singapore and Cambodia. The agreement on establishing a free trade zone with Vietnam came into force a few days ago, negotiations with India have started. Preparations of the agreements on free trade zone with Israel, Egypt and Iran are underway.
