Nursultan Nazarbayev pays working visit to Pavlodar region
Kazakh President paid working visit to Pavlodar region. Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the agro-industrial complex first, where he met with local agricultural producers and saw their products. He also asked about the implementation of the largest agricultural project, which is being implemented in Zhelezinsk district. They created the Eco town which combines livestock breeding, crop production and horticulture.
Also, Nursultan Nazarbayev launched Bozshakol mining and processing plant in the Pavlodar region. The capacity of the enterprise reaches 30 million tons of ore mining and production of 100,000 tons of copper concentrate. 1,500 people will get a job here. The plant performance is by 15 times higher than in similar plants. This is achieved through the use of advanced equipment and powerful mining fleet. The operation of plant is designed for 40 years.
During a working visit to Pavlodar region, Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the construction site of the largest Central Asian arch bridge, which will be part of ‘Center-East’ highway. The bridge will provide transit flows bypassing Pavlodar. Solemn commissioning ceremony is scheduled for December 16 this year.

7,000 km highway will be built for our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in these five years. The Government helps to its citizens during economic crisis. ‘Nurly zhol’ program includes providing new apartments, construction of cities, utilities, bridges and roads.

This is a mega project. These facilities are being built once in a while. This is a huge volume of metal and concrete. More than 100,000 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses were involved during the project implementation. More than 150,000 people worked here at the peak of construction.
Nursultan Nazarbayev approved the proposal of region’s residents to name the bridge in honor of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence. The President stressed that it was the country’s largest infrastructure project implemented during the global economic crisis.
