Foreign companies have invested over 100 billion tenge in the development of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex in the past five years. This is mainly businessmen from Europe, Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Turkey and China. The money goes to projects related to the processing of meat, milk and a vegetable oil production. Two factories in the North Kazakhstan and Almaty regions will start operating in 2017. It is also planned to open the enterprises for processing of poultry meat.

Now Ukrainian investors are considering to launch the poultry farm in Kostanay region with the capacity of 60,000 tons of poultry meat a year. Similar enterprise will be launched in Makinsk in Akmola region. The construction will be completed by 2020.
