Almaty re-entered the top 70 global financial centers. In comparison with the previous half year, the position of the Kazakh metropolis has improved by 7 points. The rating of the world's financial centers was compiled by Z/Yen Group consultancy firm in London. London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo are leading the list, preserving places since last year. Almaty managed to beat such cities as Prague, Mexico City and Athens. Moscow and St. Petersburg were placed the 84th and 85th respectively. Global Financial Centers Index is based on indicators concerning cost of living, quality of the Internet connection, level of corruption, political stability and economic situation.
