Kazakh violinist Erzhan Kulibayev won the third place at George Enescu International Festival. The musician performed Tchaikovsky’s Opera №36 in D major and won the jury’s hearts. It was a large-scale competition attended by 196 participants from different countries. The 29-year-old violinist studied in Madrid and Salzburg, he participated in concerts with Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra and gave recitals at the Polish Chamber Philharmonic, Mariinsky Theatre and in the famous Carnegie Hall. He is the winner of the International Competition of "Paul Hindemith" and Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition. George Enescu is held every two years. This year, it will last until 25 September.
