Heads of Investments and Development Ministry, representatives of foreign companies and diplomatic community met at the round table in Almaty. The sides discussed the most urgent issues of the investment climate, changes and trends in the investment policy of Kazakhstan. According to the Ministry for Investments and Development, starting from 2015 there has been an increase of investment in the sectors of the national economy that are targeted as part of the industrialization program.
YERLAN KHAIROV, VICE MINISTER OF INVESTMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF KAZAKHSTAN:
That is, it is primarily the engineering, the manufacturing sector as a whole, production of construction materials, manufacture of electrical equipment, chemicals and petrochemicals. We can see the growing volume of investments in these sectors. And this of course, is our priority, so that the investors would invest in manufacturing first of all.
According to Yerlan Khairov, face to face meetings with representatives of the European Business Association, which includes 150 foreign companies, significantly impact the Kazakhstan’s investment climate, as investors’ opinions and wishes give the clue what still needs improvement.
