Bakytzhan Sagintayev was appointed as the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan by the Decree of the President. He held the posts of the Minister of Regional Development and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade in different years. He also was governor of the Pavlodar region. He was appointed as the First Deputy Prime Minister on April 7, 2014. In addition, by the decree of the head of state, the post of the first deputy prime minister was given to Askar Mamin.
