In addition they will see the sights of Astana and Almaty, and visit the Burabay resort. During the visit, foreign journalists will also meet with officials, experts and workers of culture and sport. In total, this year 60 applications from 29 countries were submitted to participate in the contest. Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Idrissov stressed the growing interest of foreign media in Kazakhstan. In particular, the dynamics of development of the state, as well as upcoming major events, like the exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana and winter Universiade in Almaty.

Pauline GAVRILOV, JOURNALIST FROM FRANCE:

For me it is a great experience. I wrote an article about the exhibition ‘Future Energy’ Astana-2017. What the energy of the future is, what kind will be the energy of the future? I explained how the exhibition will unravel. I wrote about the Museum of the Future, that it is as a sphere, and what it symbolizes.

Douglas BURTON, U.S. JOURNALIST:

I’m delighted and really honored to be here. I wrote about the Bolashak program which is one of the most extraordinary scholarship programs in the world. And I know it is extraordinary because I used to run the Fulbright program in Europe. And Bolashak program is competitive to Fulbright as any scholarship program in the world. I’m sure that Kazakhstan is going to benefit incredibly from the initiatives in education. In fact I see the beginning of golden age of economic and cultural development in Kazakhstan.
