Young police officers from Kazakhstan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan gathered at the 16th meeting of young traffic inspectors. The solemn opening was held in the Almaty region. Within a week, 160 school students aged up to 14 will demonstrate their skills in eight categories, such as marching in the parade, knowledge of traffic rules, erudite contest, as well as bicycle driving. The winners will be announced on August 26. The best team will represent Kazakhstan at the interstate meeting, which will be held in Russia’s Anapa in October this year. In general, there are 1,600 student members of young inspectors’ movement in Kazakhstan.

Irina LUKYANINA, SPOKESPERSON FOR COMMITTEE OF ADMINISTRATIVE POLICE, MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS:

Students do most of the work during the academic year in their schools. They are our young assistants, who have to come once a week, and patrol near the school, so that school students would cross the roads only in the designated place. It has its effect when children explain their fellows in the simple way through songs and poems.
