Monitoring of the saiga population is being held in the western Kazakhstan. Environmental police and experts of the regional inspectorate of forestry and hunting are examining their habitat. Experts take photos of animals and enter time data and the direction of their migration. This year the hunt inspectors have not detected mass destruction. According to them, this spring the number of saiga reached 70,000.




Thanks to the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of Kazakhstan, Uralsk saiga population is being monitored on the territory of Kaztalovsk, Zhanibeks, Taskalinsk and Bokey Orda District. The work is being held together with the environmental police, as well as the territorial inspection of forestry. All activities are carried out in the steppe field conditions, using a helicopter.
